We use your information to:
Aviatr uses AI in two distinct ways, and treats your data differently in each. You are always in control of when your data is sent to an external AI provider.
When you use an AI feature — for example generating a business plan, go-to-market strategy, pitch deck, or asking our assistant a question — your business information is sent to an external AI provider to perform that task. This only happens with your consent: our system will not send your data to an external AI provider for a generative feature unless consent for that use is in place, and each consent is recorded. You are shown that your data will be sent to the provider, and you can decline — in which case the feature does not run. Where an adviser uses an AI feature on a client's data, the adviser must confirm the client has consented before the feature will run, and that confirmation is recorded.
The external AI providers we use are Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. Neither uses data sent through their commercial APIs to train their models, and we do not opt into any programme that would change that.
Separately, we operate our own analysis layer that learns patterns across businesses. Participation is optional and off unless you turn it on. Before any data feeds this layer it is de-identified — your business is represented by an irreversible code, not by anything that names it — and results are only ever produced across groups large enough that no individual business can be identified. This layer runs on our own infrastructure and the data is not sold or shared.

Your business data is stored on secure Australian servers. We use encryption in transit and at rest, application-level encryption for the most sensitive fields and files, malware scanning on uploaded files, and least-privilege network controls. A detailed security overview is available on request.
Our AI assistant "Harry" analyses your questionnaire responses and business data to provide insights and ask strategic questions. Harry surfaces questions and insights from your data; it does not make decisions for you, and you remain responsible for how you act on any AI-generated content. When Harry uses an external AI provider (Anthropic), that use is recorded, and the same consent and data-handling rules described above apply.
When you connect third-party tools (Xero, Google Analytics, etc.), we only access data you authorize and use it solely to provide Aviatr's services.
